COLDWELL BANKER COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES
American Cancer Society/Relay for Life
You may or may not know that the Relay for Life originated in Tacoma in 1985 and has now spread across America with over 3,500 events occurring nationally.
Throughout the year, participants engage in many fund raising activities for the American Cancer Society. Golf Tournaments, Auctions and other fund raising events, as well as the sponsored walk are all part of raising money for the American Cancer Society. In years past, Coldwell Banker Bain has been honored as the top fundraiser in Pierce County and in the Top Ten fundraisers in the country.
Toys for Tots
We are very proud to be part of this national effort.
The Coldwell Banker offices nationwide have been designated as the official collection sites for this tremendous service. We invite you to join in. During the month of December, bring your toys and unwrapped gifts to our location. Then, with the assistance of the US Marine Corps, the toys are delivered to thousands of needy children.
4th of July neighborhood flag display
The display of flags throughout Gig Harbor on the
4th of July has long been one of our favorite events of the year. Early on the morning of the 4th a team of Coldwell Banker Bain agents assisted by family members and friends descend on the community armed with thousands of flags. As the morning awakens a beautiful display of American flags line the streets to greet all in reminder of the day that commemorates the birth of the nation.
In 1986 the Coldwell Banker Bain agents were looking for a fun way to celebrate Halloween with the community. Of course, what better commemorates Halloween than pumpkins. The parking lot was filled with pumpkins. Past clients, friends and neighbors were invited to help themselves. Since
then, the activity expanded further into the community. Now the fest includes delivery of pumpkins to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and charitable facilities.
